About Craig

After serving 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy within the hospitality sector, Craig completed his qualifications as a Sommelier at Holmesglen Glen Waverley. He has polished and fine tuned his craft whilst running a boutique cellar door at Pier 10 Winery. With a passion for Golf, Wine and the Saturday form guide there is not much Craig doesn't know about what makes the Mornington Peninsula a diamond of Melbourne. 

Golf –  Growing up in Sawtell N.S.W, Craig's love of golf was nurtured from a young age. Throughout his full time service in the ADF Craig has had the privilege of being Captain of the Navy Golf team taking out the ADF Title in 2011.  Whilst posted to Western Australia, Gosnells Golf Club was a second home, sharing a cart with the likes of PGA professionals Craig Grant, Jarryd Felton and Hannah Green on a Saturday morning. After teeing off from Dubai to Singapore, Craig found his home at The Dunes - The Number 1 public access course in Australia.

Wine – Craig's wine journey has blossomed since taking over the cellar door at Pier 10 Winery. Starting out at Tuck's Ridge and also Merrick's General Wine Store as a Cellar Door assistant, Craig found his feet quickly. Assisting in the International Cool Climate Wine Show, learning how to judge wines and being a regular presenter on Radio Port Phillip FM (RPPFM) for all things wine and sometimes sport, Craig's insight and extensive wine knowledge is up to date and never dull.

All things Mornington Peninsula – Working and living on the Peninsula Craig has connected with a vast array of local gems. On departure from the ADF having lived in every major city in Australia, Craig and his family chose the Peninsula as their forever home. With a passion for Horse Racing, AFL, Golf, Pristine Beaches, Food and Wine no where else had a chance.
